Rogue Traders Reported in Winshill

We have once again received reports of rogue traders operating in the Winshill area, targeting residents and attempting to convince them that their roofs require urgent repairs or maintenance.

These individuals may claim that tiles are loose, that there is damage to your roof, or that work needs carrying out immediately. In many cases, the work may not be necessary, may be completed to a poor standard, or residents may be charged significantly more than the work is worth.

Please do not engage with these males and do not agree to any work at your doorstep. Reputable tradespeople do not normally pressure residents into making immediate decisions.

If you are approached by these individuals, or if you see them operating in the area, please report it to police. Ring 101or 999 if they refuse to leave and you feel threatened, providing descriptions of the individuals, any vehicles involved, and the location where they were seen.

Your vigilance helps us protect vulnerable residents and prevent people from falling victim to fraud and poor workmanship.
